Help
- Open
- Pick a pack and a patch at the top, a sample, or Open file. You can also drop an
.aifor.jsonon the top panel. - New patch
- + New patch in the Patch menu starts from a blank init patch. Save new stores it in your library.
- Save
- Update overwrites a patch you own. Save new stores a copy instead, and works on anyone's patch.
- Packs
- With a pack picked, Save new also adds the copy to that pack. That's how you rework a patch, even someone else's, and keep it in your pack.
- Copy & paste
- Copy puts the whole patch on the clipboard, which keeps your last 10 copies in this browser. Pick one there, then press Paste on a section to take just that section, or Paste all to take every section and keep this patch's name. On drum patches, Copy pad copies a single pad.
- Tags
- On your own patches, add up to 7 tags and press Save tags.
- Knobs
- Drag or scroll a knob, or type its raw value; selectors list their named options. On the envelope, drag the points or nudge them with the arrow keys. From the keyboard: Tab / Shift+Tab jump a section, [ ] a knob, the arrows turn it (Shift coarse, Alt fine), Esc lets go. On a drum box, A–J and W–U pick pads like piano keys, with Shift an octave up. Ctrl+Z undoes, Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes.

- Download
- The download button builds a device-loadable
.aif. Sampler patches carry a placeholder tone, since sample audio isn't stored.
Advanced · Raw JSON
Patches are stored as a small JSON blob to keep them tiny. Curious how the
.aif format was reverse-engineered? See the project on
GitHub
Edit the JSON directly and the controls update live. Keys are re-sorted alphabetically as the OP-1 firmware requires.
